Reality Remixed: Like Disco Lemonade
What better place than here?
What better time than now?

About eight or nine years ago, the band Collective Soul saved my life. I'm not talking spiritually or anything like that -- they literally saved my life. I was taking one of my usual long late-night roadtrips and was about 10 minutes away from my destination... needless to say, I was pretty damn tired. And, despite the fact that it's the only time it's ever happened, I fell asleep at the wheel. Luckily for me, the radio was on (as usual), and the station I was listening to happened to be playing Collective Soul's "Shine." The guitar riff just before the chorus hit, and my eyes flew open -- and if they hadn't and I had continued on my course, I wouldn't have followed the curve in the road and I would've impacted on a concrete beam holding up an overpass while going around 70 mph. Tonight, I got to tell that story to the band's lead singer, who wrote the song, and then hear them perform it live.

Kick Ass. I once stood three feet from Richard Ashcroft while he played “Lucky Man” acoustic...with a stuffed cow on his head.

Meghan… I am so jealous. I love Richard Ashcroft. In my dreams, I sit at his feet and he sings me “New York”.

Keith, that’s a crazy story. That happened to me once before. It’s insane and very scary… the way your mind reels while your heart beats wildly after you regain conciousness.
